I was born on the outskirts of Rome, in 1980, amidst warrens of reinforced concrete and green expanses that still had not been built on. At the age of 3 I had already been walking for two years, while at 6 I began to develop an interest in science and astronomy, passions I still pursue today. At the age of 16 I finally held my first reflex camera, which, though, was not really mine. I sunk my fingertips into a basin of developing fluid, and threw my first (horrible) one hundred prints in the bin. In the years that followed, I continued to cultivate my love for photography, experiencing first hand, in a fairly traumatic way, I have to say, the switch from film to digital. At the age of 33, I had been walking for thirty-two years, and had written my first, very short autobiography. A dreadful experience!
